Yeah there is zero chance of a reduction in games ever happening. This is all little more than a knee jerk reaction to the number of players sitting out of major, but non-playoff, bowl games. It's a monkey's paw scenario waiting to happen though, because 5 of those 12 teams (3-4 of the additional 8) are inevitably going to come from the SEC every single year and people are going to lose their minds over it.

That is one of the reasons I am for it . They may let the occasional CINCY or UCF teams in who have a great year but the majority will be P5
