Yes I addressed each of these above, and also throw in the last 14 months dealing with COVID, he may win another award this year. Let's not even bring up all the expansion going on at UF while our sister school out west is 26 mil in the red for the last fiscal year and the gold standard Stanford is cutting out some sports altogether.

You can grumble all you want, but some of these coaches have built up some tenure and you can't fire a third of them for a down year when you have won multiple national titles.

With so much instability in sports overall (I am talking about the transfers, opt outs and political climate now) you have to think long and hard about what you are doing in not just the short term, but also long term. Does it really matter if we finish 8th or 12th in WBB?

Sure, you're not going to fire Roland. But Burleigh should have been shown the door a while ago. You don't get to keep your job forever because you won a national title over 20 years ago. No excuse for allowing the program to sink where it did. And yes, you can make changes in WBB and men's golf because they are the right things to do. UF didn't build the program it did by accepting mediocre results, a lot of decent coaches were fired along the way in pursuit of something better.

Again, I don't think Stricklin is about to lose his job nor should he. But if (maybe when at this point) UF is out of the top 10 for the first time ever in the Directors Cup. When we drop the All Sports Trophy again, its going to raise eyebrows. That's the nature of the business. Stricklin took over a monster of an athletic program and its not performing at the same level.
