Legitimate as in it's a D1 program? Sure. But it's been hot garbage for 15 years now. Their league disbanded, the new league they initially applied for denied them and they wound up in a conference that includes two teams in Alaska (to be fair any conference would require extensive travel since NO other southern school has D1 program). Their last winning season was 2005-06 and since then the school has twice announced they would be disbanding the program because of financial concerns, only to bring it back after massive fundraising drives.

Yea, that was basically all I meant. Legitimate as in NCAA D1, not lower levels or club teams.
