I think JD and Tchikou both will be lottery picks in next years draft. As we saw with Primo, it’s not necessarily what kind of season you have. With the NBA, it’s more about potential

I definitely agree, but with Primo most people said he had one of the best combine workouts they've ever seen. I also think a lot of these decisions are based on interviews and workouts (individual and combine) which Primo apparently aced. Happy for both Herb and Primo. I'll be interested to see where Petty goes. I hate it for him, but if he gets hot during summer league he can make a roster. His shot is tantalizing with his unbelievably high release point.

Petty's problem is versatility, or rather the lack thereof. He's a 3&D wing skill set in a smallish 2 guard body. He will have to develop the consistency with his shot be never was able to find in college. If he can turn himself into a year in and year out 40% 3pt shooter then he will get some looks as an instant offense bench guy. Those type players can have long careers.

Very happy with Primo going that high. He's a lottery pick and goes to a great organization like the Spurs. A lot of people have that pick down as their "reach" but almost all admit they haven't watched him play or didn't catch many Bama games. I think they need to realize this guy tore it up on the international circuit before getting to Bama and was still able to impress here with a smaller role. If he continues to develop his ball-handling and passing traits without losing his shooting touch, the dude is going to be a stud at just 21 if all goes right.

Just Herb getting drafted is an accomplishment but going top 35 is impressive. I'm not the biggest NBA guy anymore but may have to start pulling for the Pelicans. He should have a long career if he can continue to develop his shot.

Next year JD should make another lottery choice. I could see JQ being a late 1st round pick if he puts up similar numbers to the stretch run he had late last year. Tchikou is the wild card, if he stays healthy he's gone, just depends on what he shows the scouts. Similar to Primo, he may not have the biggest role next year but he's going to kill it in camps and workouts. I think we have a good shot at two lottery picks next year.

Yes. And Kendrick Perkins on the ESPN panel with Bilas and Reese Davis said Sharif Cooper dropped because of those interviews and his crowd. Perkins said the NBA really values the interviews and who you surround yourself with. Clearly Cooper bombed those parts. How many players drop from top 20, possibly lottery to number 48?
