From Mac.

Man, Preston is leaving himself open to being majorly trolled if we don’t land this dude

Trolling is part of It. Also, I assume he's playing with house money... I assume the Barn would be the first fanbase to do so but how far does he need to go back to dig up tweets of them begging for Halloway and Philon?

Preston is literally the one recruiting the kid, he’s not stupid.

I trust Oats, but I’m really hoping this isn’t another learning opportunity in terms of ensuring rim protection is solidified. It’s hard not to think we likely at least share the SECC with Tenn if we had Bediako, and we’d have had a shot at UConn (although they probably still beat us).

It’s awesome to hear how much desire there is to come to Bama from portal guys. Once you get that positive reinforcement cycle going, good players bring success and success brings good players. We’ve seen it be sustainable over long periods in basketball in the pre-NIL and transfer world (think Few at Gonzaga), but I’m hoping it can be done in this new world as well. Having more to choose from due to the portal should theoretically benefit the most desired destinations, but we’ll have to keep our NIL on par as well. Arky, KY, and Indy are all getting desperate, and UNC might too if Oats keeps “swiping their lunch money.”

Fun time to be a Bama basketball fan!!
