I'm surprised no one has filed a lawsuit challenging NCAA eligibility limits yet. At this point I would fully expect a federal judge to rule that as long as the athlete in question is enrolled as a full time student seeking a degree they are eligible to participate in athletic competitions.

Agreed, and considering both how much the DOJ has inserted itself thus far and how the various institutional players fear litigation, it's probably only a matter of time.

The decades-long failure of the NCAA to take a proactive role in any of this is increasingly painful as they now watch themselves being slowly legislated out of existence.
