Why wouldn't Texas just go after Oats?
I'm pretty sure they got Smart while Alabama was pursuing him.

The Calipari thing is a rumor because there are rumblings of discontent at Kentucky from fans, Cal has been kind of prickly about it, he's been there a while now, Texas would be a fresh start etc etc etc. Calipari isn't leaving Kentucky for Texas under normal, happy circumstances. Ever.
