And Justin Houston was pretty solid at UGA and had a couple of good years for the Chiefs.

Houston played with his hand in the dirt at UGA, IIRC. In Kansas City, they turned him into a standup pass rusher and it unlocked his potential. He had 22 sacks in 2014 and remains a solid pass rusher for Indianapolis.

You arent wrong about how houston was used (except that we went to 3-4 in 2010 and he was a standup OLB for 1 year)

But i felt that houston was an elite pass rusher and average at everything else at UGA.
Kansas City turned him into an all around great football player. Give houston credit for the improvement. Once he didnt have to worry about school, he was able to hone his craft.

Imo, houston was elite at UGA (but elite as a 1 trick pony). KC made him elite against the run, too.
