Timing was not based on coaching abilities. He was never gonna recruit well because he truly believed we were never gonna rise above mid-tier. The UTs and Bama’s were untouchable in his mind. He did well at Duke because it is a perfect fit for him. They have zero aspirations of ever sustainable winning.

Cut had heart issues and low energy. Cut was tired. Pete was a pain in the arse.

Some of Cut's best recruiting occurred when Bama went on probation and hired Shula. Obviously that wasn't going to last.
