Literally never heard of this before. There is some librarian in the school system my wife works at who doesn’t like Seuss because he was a philanderer or some dumbass shite.

I’m immensely online and never log off and I literally haven’t heard shite about Seuss until the publisher decided unilaterally to stop publishing 6 C-list Seuss books. I actually vaguely remember Goya beans getting cancelled and never heard anything about this until the publisher themselves did something.

They didn’t unilaterally decide to do it, Dr Seuss was celebrated by the Obamas, but apparently whoever was supposed to tell Biden what to do decided that he should exclude Dr Seuss from the Reading Across America Day. What bravery! He makes no mention of the man the day is in honor of, and immediately they decide to drop the books. Just a coincidence, I’m sure.

I have found that the folks who like to not only claim but emphasize the word literally are usually the furthest from it.
