I legit don’t understand this Seuss controversy. No one was prodding the corporate entity that owns the books to stop publishing them, they just made a strategic decision about what they’re going to print. They’re not going to burn the proofs and make everyone do the same with any copies. They may print them again in the future for academic/research purposes. Honestly, it was probably sensible to stop printing the book with black people who look like monkeys in it but that’s just me.

I’d legit not heard of any of these Seuss books. Ain’t like they decided to stop printing Cat in the Hat.

There are no people in the books at all, to associate those characters with a group of people is quite a reach and somewhat of a racist one at that.

There is none. Social media culture causes people who identify too much with political sides to feel attacked when something as simple as a company making a strategic business decision to stop selling books happens.
