I don’t see how number 2 would accomplish anything. Actually, I think it’d probably make it worse. It’s gonna be harder to recruit for mid-tier schools going 6-6 as opposed to 9-3/8-4.

More power conference games also favors teams that are able to stack depth. This past season was basically played separate from the G5, and it didn’t help.

I prefer tiers. Top group (25 guys) - likeness control, set salary like a student worker for media appearances, second group (40 guys) - COA, third group (20 guys) - base scholarship. Everyone is guaranteed the second or third tier once they get on campus. Top tier is renewed annually.

I think it’d work better and doesn’t take away from the players.

Smaller conferences would help to.

If Penn State was the premier team in a northeastern league, they’d pull a much better class than being Ohio State’s bitch in a Midwest league.
