Easy to say, but the reason so many R voters took to Trump was because he fights back. Republicans tend to lay down, roll over, and show their belly hoping that their Democrat counterparts will be nice to them.
Trump came out swinging back and that's what Republican voters have been begging for. A fighter. Republican voters are fed up with Rinos and are ready to clean house in the party or destroy it.
Guys like Cotton, Boozeman, and Hill leave nice soundbites, but they don't really fight back. Cotton has a few times, but that's because he has higher aspirations.
The Republican party is headed for a big change and honestly I think the Democrats are too. Not all Democrats are so hard left.
Three party system is really on the horizon and rinos, moderate dems, and libertarians will probably make up the largest party.
Back to the original point of the thread, by the time elections roll around, Arkansas voters will vote for the same old same old as they always do.

Trump is popular because he put America first and couldn't be bought or blackmailed. He changed how the Republican party should fight. He also brought peace to the Middle East and was the first president in years to not start a war during his time.
The Republicans didn't support Trump when he needed it the most on January 6th because they want to go back to the swampy days. But the problem is the cat is out of the bag and the MAGA movement is much bigger than Trump himself.
Trump is creating his own media company and he will use it to get rid of the rinos in the party and replace them with MAGA people. This scares the likes of CNN because it provides a voice for 75 million Trump voters and millions more for his supporters. The CCP media simply cannot stop him. They are trying to destroy him as a private citizen because he is such a great threat in the media. But they are failing.
Trump is changing the party and had they been full of MAGA then he would get his second term. But he has revenge on his mind.
The Democrats are changing and booting out anyone that questions them. They are becoming more radical and extreme in beliefs that dangerous to both America and the citizens of this nation. America last and foreign interests first.
I do believe a third party will be here in the future but just that isn't feasible right now as many GOP voters aren't ready to leave the party and it would split the vote. That would give the Democrats a guarantee victory each election. But a third party will emerge.
