I too was surprised. I think he wants to prove he can get through a playoff game without a targeting ejection.

He's a hoss, man. You could tell the difference in your defense when he went out.

I don't see anyone starting over Murphy. Thomas needs to be more consistent, which is a trademark of Foster's. I think depth is the main benefit, as you suggested.

You guys are definitely stacked along the DLine. It is out and out scary!

Lyn-J runs too upright and dances around too much. If he gets in the clear, he can take it to the house, but is nowhere near the complete, physical back that Etienne was.

I knew Etienne was special. That first game is going to be a killer. I would have much preferred playing Clemson in game #3 or later. Our secondary is very talented, but very inexperienced. It'll be interesting to see how your young QB reacts. Lawrence missing a couple of games this past season might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. It gave Ugeleilei (Sorry for the spelling) some much needed experience. He looked good when he was in there, but like Etienne, there will have to be at least a little drop off...at least for the first few games.

This is how it should be, and how it was. I'm an old dude, and was a student at CU in the 80's when this was the best rivalry around (damn you, Scott Woerner! damn you, Kevin Butler!). Looking forward to a great game and more upcoming in the series.
