Keep making excuses. Cristobal came in late from across the coubtry and stole a kid out of LA that we wanted. Venables had no in roads to the current TX HS network and went against TAMU and UT who are killing it.

Not making excuses. I said our staff has to step it up this year, but to act like these guys who are very well known and have been around recruiting these areas for as long as most of these kids have been alive isn't a difference maker, you're trying to convince yourself of that.

Cristobal was pulling kids from the southeast to Oregon already. They have kids from all over the south on their roster. We got three transfers from them that were from Alabama. You don't think he had already been recruiting Citizen?

I guess Venables coaching at Oklahoma for 12 years accounts for nothing. Sure, high school coaches change, but the networks of coaches in those areas run deep. And it's not as if Oklahoma hasn't been in the championship hunt every year for the past decade plus. That carries a lot of weight.

Again, if Harsin and co don't make it happen this year, I think he's likely looking for a new job after this year or next at the very latest, but you're examples are of very well established coaches that have been recruiting the southeast for years.

If one of these guys was a first year coach out of Fresno St and was doing that, that's one thing, but that's ain't the case here.

So today stops the bull shite excuses of it takes time to build relationships?

Or is all Harsin’s screw ups with the staff gonna be like just starting over on year 1 because of so much turnover. What’s the excuse gonna be now?
