We played most of the season with fewer than 60 scholarship players and without 20/22 starters from the 2019 team and even some of their backups.
Has any championship team had that much turnover in one year? And also no spring practice and modified pandemic practice schedules to boot?
If you’re interested in being fair there is some legitimate criticism there to be had that I’d be happy to acknowledge and discuss, but you also have to concede there was a lot working against LSU in 2020 that was little to no fault of anyone in the program.
But of course you’re not interested in any of that as you’re looking to push your agenda, not have a level headed discussion about SEC football.

The better questions are:
How many of those were seniors?
How many juniors did you convince to stay?
How many players did you convince to not opt out?
The first question is the baseline, the second and third tell the tale of commitment to the team, school and coach.

You’ve come to the wrong board for that

You act like there was external pressure applied that no other championship team before had to endure.
There was no probation. There was no scandal. There was the Pandemic--some teams(ahem) held it together much better than LSU.
Part of the coaches job is culture, retention, and roster management. Bama has been dealing with early departures and coaching turnover too. I'm guessing we finish above 500 next year.
