My guess was that their plan was Guffey then Chase but when the lead ballooned he decided to go Ras 1 more then Guffey and hold Chase back for Sat/Sun.
Probably wanted Ras to have another good inning, burn him for the weekend feeling good. That obviously didn't work out.

I thought maybe Bo thought he’d settled down and was going to have a quick 8th and boost a little bit of confidence but it didn’t work out that way.
Maybe McNeese can just hit.
