Georgia supporters and fans wanted Bobo to stay. The AD was in his cheapskate mode back then and refused to give Bobo a $50K raise. Bobo got a good offer to go to Colorado State as HC.
The AD (McGarity) clashed with Richt all the time and Bobo was his way to get at Richt indirectly.

Appreciate the input. The anti bobo crowd have now stated outright that logic doesn't appeal to them. Essentially if you're a coach that muschamp hired or was interested in hiring, you're bad and we hate you

I've never seen, heard or read a UGA fan want him back or butt hurt he left. And while I was born in Columbia. I was raised in Augusta Georgia.
