Okay? So what?

Can you name when a #5 or lower team got left out of the playoffs and we reasonably thought they could have won the championship?

We'll never know will we?

Are you REALLY trying to tell me we couldn't compete with Bama or Clemson now?

You don't want to find out?

You used them as justification to expand to 8 teams, but don't they usually play between 16-32 teams. Using your logic shouldn't we be expanding to 16-32 teams?

You didn't answer the question. Has one been left out that people thought..."wow they would have won it all if they had been in it." It hasn't happened because adding more teams would make for more terrible games. Look at the semi games. Only one year was there no blow out games played.

Crap no. What dfference would it make? All you would have are some NY6 games only they wouldn't be as good.

With NY6 games you get semi matched up teams. Expand to 8 and you have #1 vs #8. HORRIBLE game going by history. Just look at the semi-final playoff games. You would be taking away some games where the teams are at least paired up competitively to teams that are poorly paired up. Expand to 8 teams and here are the games we would have:

1-8 Alabama vs. Cincinnatti
2-7 Clemson vs. Florida
3-6 OSU vs. Oklahoma
4-5 ND-Texas A&M

Three of those would be blowouts.
