So you're saying if Ga bama has a close game, Clemson wins the acc, Ohio state and Notre dame does well. You dont see a problem with having only 4 teams? It needs to be 6 or 8. 4 is not enough most years.

8 is right and what it needs to be. In 07, we were the hottest and probably the best team in the country. In 2012, we definitely deserved redemption and there was no other teams other than Bama that would beat us. In 2018, we were also pretty damn good. I say all this to prove 4 is not enough nor would it have been years ago. I’m not a fan of the participation trophies but this UGA team with Daniels is a different animal and would definitely compete with the top 8 teams in the country. Cincinnati is gonna find out. RIP

I can't think of a single time in which a team ranked #5 or lower after the playoffs were set that people thought a potential National Champion had been left out.
