I've always thought the arguments about these contracts were a little silly. Most of us have only a tiny contribution, if any, towards them, they are all insane amounts of money, and no one is satisfied with a bad season if the coach is paid less.

In all seriousness, the people who pay the salaries - and buyouts - look at these sort of things.
