At playoff time some how qualify you for the playoffs?
I could see a hard fought 24-21 loss.

Teams that did not get blown out today. I would put Tamu in. They keep talking about Notre Dame a earlier win over a covid depleted Clemson.
They played and got destroyed by the playoff version of Clemson today.

I'm a notre dame hater but I think they are actually legit this year. Shouldn't matter when you lose if you have a good resume and their resume beats TAMU and Cincy.

And atm played and got destroyed by bama. ATMs best win is a soon to be 3 loss florida, notre dame at least has a top 3 win. I'm not advocating for nd necessarily, just saying it's not a slam dunk that atm has a better resume.

I thought ND was going to play them close. Had they,vthey would be in.
My guess is it was a bit too bad a loss and they get left out.

Right, but the question of are they on the level of a playoff team was categorically answered today, unless they plan on playing Clemson without lawrence again.

So, it's about how good your are now.... We know that Notre Dame is not competitive with a real playoff team today.

Because two ACC teams is a better look? I mean, I get your point, and I think ND will get in it, but they will get in it only because they are media darlings. Then Alabama will blow them out again. But the Media will never learn.

Has nothing to do with ACC. It’s ND and they will be in. ND is only a partial member of the ACC during a normal year. They just proved to themselves why that don’t need a conference. Without having to play a championship game they would be 10-0 and a lock for the CFP. They only did it this year because they had to and rubbed it in the Big10s face when they weren’t playing football

But this is the perfect year to let aGroup of 5 team in. Cincy should get their shot over everyone other team being discussed. Bama would roll them and we won’t have to hear about anymore

Nobody is beating Clemson or Bama. OSU and fields sucked yesterday. I don't think A&M is that great either.
