My favorite game of the year. LSU Ole Miss is college football for me. I realize it’s not the same for y’all and that’s on us. Hopefully we can do our part in the rivalry again. Used to play music at Chelsea’s Northgate all the time and have many LSU friends to this day from that. Good times.

I agree. My first big time college football game was Ole Miss/LSU. I look forward to this game more than ANY other every year. This is Ole Miss’ biggest rivalry game IMO.

Same. 2008 embodies everything about this game that I love. Crazy finish. Grove was out of fricking control right after the game and the square was wild as hell - one of the rowdiest nights in Oxford I’ve ever seen.

I was in high school for that game. My dad and I said frick the hotel and drove back that night

2003 after LSU won in Ox we were walking back from the stadium. This LSU kid was taking a DUMP in some professor’s yard on faculty row. I walked up on him and he was in full squat, totally vulnerable. We met eye to eye and he knew I had him. I thought about kicking him in the chest back into his own filth but I just couldn’t do that to him and he was a kid who’s stomach be hurtin. Never will forget the unsaid plea for mercy on his face.

Hopefully the game is good this year. Last good game was 2014 when LSU gave Ole Miss their first loss because LSU finally remembered Tight Ends are eligible receivers at the end of the game.
2015 was a blowout that probably should have been the final nail in Miles' coffin (Alleva is a clown), 2016 was tied at half with potential and then Ole Miss laid an egg the entire 2nd half while Fournette ran for nearly 300 yards. 2017 was basically a mirror image of 2016 with Guice running for almost the same yards Fournette did the year before but Ole Miss at least scored a little in the 2nd half.
2018 was a blowout from beginning to end, 2019 was also a blowout even though JRP did some cute things in the 2nd half, it was 31-7 at halftime and Ole Miss never even got the lead to under 2 scores.
This could definitely be the year that it's a good game wire to wire though.
