I think it has more to do with having a QB that finds open receivers downfield and isn't afraid to take shots. That opens up your playbook tremendously and you can move the ball around to a lot more people. I don't think it's as much play design as it is having a QB that executes effectively, and receivers holding on to the ball instead of dropping it or running the wrong route. Defense can't stack the box anymore, so guys like cook actually have a chance to make the first man miss. All of our RB's stats have gone up with JTD.
