Mark Richt had a slip of the lip today and revealed that Moreno has been working with the punt return team.
Personally I think it's a mistake because it increases his odds of getting hurt.

eh it depends. Could end up being big for them. Reggie returned punts his whole career at USC, had no real injuries, and was a game-changer at that position. It's defenitly risky though

If he is a sick return man, you gotta play him. Richt's not dumb, he's seen the schedule. If he's just decent, hell no.

I think any time you have an opportunity to put the ball in a playmakers hands it increases your odds of winning. I think it is smart if he is the best he has. If I had a comfortable lead in a game I don;t think I would put him back there but in a hard faught SEC battle, you need things to happen and this could make it happen.
What you have to wonder about is if he is telling the truth. coaches often leak things and then act like they didn't mean to do it. He could be bullshitting us.
The most concerning thing in that article was that he has two freshmen, or walk ons, at both defensive end positions due to injury.

correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure someone will
)but as 'violent' as special teams can be,aren't more of the season ending injuries to guys on defense,or blockers turning back trying to make another block ?Sure, him playing special teams will of course but him on the field more, thus the odds of injury will increase, but by and large most injuries on special teams aren't to the returners.
