Longest streak in history.
Turns out the best defensive coach ever was also the best offensive coach ever.

I figured a Big XII team would have a longer streak. How about that.

Dayumn, didn't know that. Hell of a streak.

Too bad 35 wasn't enough when you played LSU (46-41) and Auburn (48-45) along the way.

This is what Saban meant when he asked reporters if this was what they wanted football to be. He just needed to know which side of the ball his teams were supposed to be tGOAT at.

Solid streak. Bolstered by a weak arse SEC no doubt, but still impressive.

It's also been over 10 years since we last lost to a team from the SEC East. That's insane.

Shame he couldn’t start the streak one game earlier!

He has to have the consecutive win record vs cross divisional SEC opponents as well... no?

A lot of coaches bang their head against a wall determined their outdated ways are correct.
Some coaches manage to adjust enough to survive, but very few are able to thrive.
Saban saw the direction CFB was heading a few years ago and didn’t like it. He resisted at first and lobbied for rule changes and enforcement to slow down offenses.
He then quickly switched gears and was able to transform Alabama, the SEC, and CFB by elevating Bama’s offense to an elite level.
Not bad for a coach that entered the league 20 years ago, and his biggest challenge was to build a defense that could slow down Spurrier’s Fun & Gun offense.
