It wasn't the right or wrong call.

With the wet conditions kicking the field goal is a perfectly understandable call. We had a chance to tie the game. Up to that point there had been several dropped balls and players falling down from both teams. Bitching about kicking the field goal is literally the worst thing to be bitching about.

People wanna bitch? How about bitching about the fact that our QB with "zero pocket presence" (another sterling contribution from Drewbie ) led our team in rushing and he himself had less than 50 yards on the ground.

Pocket awareness. Unsurprising you don't remember this correctly, either.

I also stand by that statement. In order to be dead last in sacks in the conference, there are multiple things going wrong. The line is rough, but it's not just them. Franks has a problem with holding the ball too long and not feeling pressure coming fast enough to respond in time to escape or get the ball out. Call me a Franks hater all you want, I honestly don't care. The actually reasonable people know it's just one of the downsides we have to live with in order to get his upsides. He has arguably the most consistent deep ball of any QB Arkansas has ever had.

I think Sam was thinking the percentages because the the offense was playing poorly and the chances of making the first down was low. So going with the field goal was the most logical decision. He had no confidence in the offense.

I don't have any problems with Franks because he is a solid quarterback. He just doesn't have many tools to work with in this offense.
