We played Alabama once (early in the season, mind you).
This would be "Clemson vs Notre Dame" playing the second time. If the game isn't close, the committee isn't going to give both of those teams a third potential rematch.

Your own logic dictates the committee wouldn't give a rematch with Bama b/c they beat our asses.
