I think Beamer is doing great at Oklahoma and should stay there. Shawn Elliott 'loves Carolina and coached at USC' too. that's pretty much Beamer's platform. naming Beamer as HC would be almost as wreckless as naming Richard Bell HC after Carlen was overthrown.
you don't fire Will Muschamp in the middle of a bizarre flu virus season to hire Shane Beamer. you fire Will Muschamp in the middle of a bizarre flu virus season only if you have a coach lined up with proven results that translate to elevating USC to regularly compete for Atlanta.
you hire Shane Beamer as HC at South Carolina after at least 9 other sitting P5 HCs say no and it's Jan 1, 2021.
