I don't know man, I disagree with that. CWM did his best in my opinion. His best wasn't good enough, for sure. Thing is, he knew this was his second and probably last chance at being a HC at a P5 school, so to say he never cared is puzzling. I don't think it was about his caring so much about his inability to manage a good staff.

Look at DABO. He is not that great of a coach, per se, when it comes to X's and O's, but the guy is one HELL of a manager, and modeled his career after Bear Bryant... (surround yourself with coaches that are smarter than you). Dabo looks like a genius. He was never a coordinator, hell, he was a wide receivers coach and stepped right into the HC job. He made smart hires. This what CWM never learned. But again, I wouldn't go so far as to say he never cared. Just my two cents.
