Newman left right before the season started and that put JT on deck. He was still not cleared, which paved the way to where we are today. Sad.
That is squarely on Kirby. There is no way he didn't know that Newman was sniffing around the NFL or that Daniels was going to be too much of a pussy to play 3 months after being cleared. He's been butchering the QB situation for 3 years now.

That is squarely on Kirby.
quote:It wasn't just a desire to play in the NFL. It was that desire mixed with the fear of COVID, which other players throughout the league decided to opt-out for. It's hard to pin that one on CKS as I don't think anyone would have been able to foresee that.

quote:You really think CKS knew what was going to happen with Daniels? If he did, he wouldn't have picked him up in the first place. Even so, Daniels was the "break glass in case of emergency" plan with Newman being the projected starter.

quote:Nope. Bad timing and bad luck has got in the way of our QB progression.

No it’s not. Impossible to know a transfer would quit.
