Recruiting matters. I am not down playing it. However, the difference
between high 4* and 5* players is debatable. I watched Trey Sanders live in HS and thought he would win a Heisman. But at this point, Tank is a freshman and ahead of Trey. You have to develop and utilize your talent. Kirby is terrible at that.

Agree, but given a large enough sample size if you recruit better "stars" you win more, particularly those with 12-16 five stars. Tank is just one of those athletes that can elevate an entire team IMO.

I think AU has things rolling and 2021 could be one of those "magical" years where the stars align. I also think we'll be salty down the stretch of 2020.

I get that but have we/Gus really "developed" Tank? Not really. Dude is just good and that is easy to see. Look at the backs that Georgia and Alabama has had over the past 10 years. They both have had two or three "Tanks" on the roster at one time for 10 years.

I was once told by a high school coach. "No jackass has ever won the Kentucky Derby". You can develop players, you can get the most out of them but in the end, talent matters
