Well that is a fault on gus, wouldn’t you say?

not really. Gus doesn't get every player he goes after. I am sure he would give his left nut to have the receivers UF has.

What a load of crap. I'm sure that Mullen would be doing backflips if he had Seth Williams and Schwartz on his roster - both players will be drafted within the first 3-4 rounds and will be NFL players. Both guys present elite qualities (Seth with his size/athleticism and Schwartz with his speed). And the buck doesn't stop with just those two. Florida is not in any way, shape, or form, loaded with 5-star "unattainable" receiving talent. Their most productive wideout (Toney) was a lowly 3-star ATH/QB from Alabama. The RB that posted 100-yards receiving yesterday was a 3-star, and the other back was a 4-star ranked outside the Top 250. Their TE Pitts was in fact an elite recruit, but to get those kinds of players at that position you kinda gotta utilize the position - which we don't.

Mullen is significantly more advanced than Malzahn in terms of utilizing schemes to put his players in the right position, period. I'm flabbergasted that we're 8-years into seeing the same thing on a yearly basis and we still have people using this "lack of talent" narrative. Do you want a perfect example? Look at CJ Uzomah: the guy is a legitimate NFL TE with elite measurables. He was drafted in the 5th round on the basis of 29 CAREER receptions at Auburn. He never had more than 11 receptions in a single season in college. I'm sure you can do basic math, but thats less than 1 reception a game. How do you have an NFL talent at TE and you can't get him the ball more than once per game? So in fact Malzahn HAD his own equivalent to the Pitts kid that Florida has; he just didn't know how to utilize him properly. Just like he didn't know to to fully utilize Darius Slayton who is playing like a top receiver in the NFL. The entire time Slayton was here he was clowned by people like you for "not being as talented as those STARS that Bama and LSU has" with the same sob-story about how we just don't have talent. You kind of need to know how to utilize talent, brosef. I bet you I can dig up a dozen posts of people saying "Slayton is just okay, but he's wouldn't be starting on Bama or LSU" LMAO.
