Pickens is a great athlete, he needs to run better routes. That’s the difference between him and the 1%

Pickens has to find ways to get open and beat doubles.

I was thinking the same thing. Waddle and especially Smith are great route runners. Every movement is smooth and fluid, and Mac Jones can put it on them from anywhere on the field.

I made a Smith/Calvin Ridley comparison earlier in this thread and the superb route running is a big reason for it.

I will submit that part of being in the 1% is having a QB throw the ball to you downfield more often so you can prove it.
