Body language tells a lot and every time the camera is on him his hands are on his head like he knows hes defeated. BTW Eli was WIDE OPEN on that last 3rd down

I was just about to say the same thing. Gus looks and sounds like he's already been told he's gone.

He finally realized that every team knows he's gonna run the ball straight up the middle using the hurry-up after a made 1st down and that realization shocked and saddened him.

Can't agree on that, at all.

But I didn't sense he seemed subdued in the interview with Cole, and even in the press conference.

But no way to know what his reasons are.
It could be he is hearing a step up in negative commenting on his status.
It could be because he is disappointed after a bad loss, and he is feeling that his team is not what it needs to be, and it could be we are an average team right now.

But I doubt it has to do with someone telling him his coaching status moving forward.
