While this is somewhat true, the LSU of the 30’s-80’s was dramatically, hilariously better than the LSU of the 90’s.

You already knew that, but people like you who are jealous of LSU’s success feel the need to knock our history pre-2000. Sad!

I somewhat knew that, but if I'm being honest, I've been watching college football since the mid-70s and I never thought of LSU as a football powerhouse until the Saban years. I considered LSU a basketball school, but I can look back and see that LSU was better than I realized. I still wouldn't say that LSU was great, though.

Edit: I also wasn't knocking LSU's success pre-2000. I was just noting that LSU wasn't the powerhouse it's become since. In hindsight, I now realize that the 90s was a bad decade for LSU, but I honestly didn't know that back then.
