Blue Bloods are the ones that will drive TV ratings no matter their current success or failures.
Notre Dame
Alabama
USC
Texas
tOSU
Michigan
Oklahoma
That’s it’s.. and there is no way to become one. No matter the current success.
This is closest to the true definition. Blue Bloods have a national fan base consisting of people with no actual connection to the school, irrespective of recent success. Success may have generated that fan base, but the success is not what makes them a Blue Blood - it is the national fan base they still have and the financial support and ratings they draw.

For the record, I see Nebraska hanging in there. Notice how much press they get whenever someone thinks they might be good again.
Basketball: I see
Kentucky
UCLA
North Carolina
Kansas
Duke, I think (I know that sounds nuts, but Duke is a lot younger than everyone else)
Is Indiana considered this?
