He's been a head coach for a long time and has zero titles to show for it. He's mediocre. Occasionally he has a team that wins a bunch of games, but even then he still never wins a title.

He’s been average with some peaks of a successful season every 5-6 years. People just excuse his mediocrity for things like “well he was a Texas Tech, what do you expect.”

Define successful. He’s never even won a conference championship and finished the season ranked in the top 25 only one time in 7 years at W State.
