I believe a white cornerback has not started in the big league since the late 20th century, but do correct me if this statement is inaccurate

Those are feast or famine offenses.
It's been that way forever. I wouldn't put too much stock in it at this point. Those types of offenses can win against anyone, but dear god if your starting QB breaks up with his girlfriend that week you might be in trouble.

Well Stevens is a safety, so that's not exactly apples-apples. How much did he play? I can't think of another white CB anywhere in NCAA since Dustin Fox at OSU
