Seemed like he played a good game. I might’ve missed a few plays but it seems like he was always pancaking linebackers every time I saw him.

Made a nice catch too. Could’ve had two more if Mathis was a little more on target.

I was just pleased he played as much as he did. It almost sounded like he might redshirt the way people were talking about how raw he is.

No reason for anyone to redshirt since the season won’t cost a year of eligibility

yeah he had a good first game. I was more excited about John Fitzpatrick, though. He had an excellent game imo.

Even then, the stuff I heard made it sound like he’d only play in garbage time vs Vanderbilt

And Monken seems to love throwing to the middle of the field and Washington seems like the perfect

Fitzpatrick and Washington are dam near the same size. There was no reason Mathis didn’t have a “Bennett” kind of game.

he did get his bell rung pretty hard on that sideline play. It might be a contributing factor.
