Well over half of his total production in 5 years came during his freshman season at Cal. I don't necessarily agree that he would have been a high round pick if he had stuck with us though. I don't see him getting a lot of targets over the last 4-5 years. He's definitely not better than any of Ridley, Smitty, Jeudy, Ruggs, or Waddle. I don't even know that he's better than Stewart or Metchie.

My point is we have never gotten to see how good he is cause he was never developed. Had he committed to Bama he would have come in the year before those guys in a much better system with much better coaching than he got at Cal. It also means we may not have taken as many WR the next year so it might have been Robertson, with just Jeudy and Ruggs instead of Smitty. With the talent he displayed in high school and everything Bama has to offer there is a strong chance he would have exceled here with Tua at QB.
