I hate to say it but it couldn't happen to any team right now. Just have to cross your fingers.

Still doesn't answer the real question. How many more were sent to their room for 14 days because of contact tracing?

The big ten is really going to struggle since they don't have bye weeks. These other teams (mentioned above) can make them up. I don't see osu making the playoffs when they miss a game or 2

Didn't they just play USF... wouldn't these guys have been positive then if they didn't know they were sick? Now USF is going to end up with positive tests. This is how it begins.

I wonder at what point teams or players just say frick it if a guy tests positive as long as he’s not symptomatic then we’ll not tell anyone.

That will never happen. Basically that coach will never get another job coaching football and the media will make sure of it.

Plus the universities care a bunch about CYA.

None of these college football players will die from Covid.

Not going to happen. The SEC just reported they are going to the same system the NFL uses. They have a computer chip inserted in a wrist band that lets them know when they get within 6 feet of someone after so many minutes and tells the league where they've been when someone tests positive. They will use the chip for contact tracing.

Probably for the best, imo. Not because of COVID but because it prevents an inevitable loss after starting 0-2.

I'm not arguing, just thinking out loud. Other than honesty, what's to stop the players from leaving the wrist band in their room when they go out in order to avoid being traced?
