This is a stretch. It's laughable seeing all these commercials about "the new normal". None of this shite is "normal"

I'm afraid we'll see CFB further become a regional sport that is completely Southeast-centric. Ohio State and a few big programs that sit out this season will eventually come back,

where have you been? It's been this way for a while now, at least a decade.

I'm not sure how programs like Cal, Oregon State, Purdue, Northwestern, etc. ever recover.

When have NW, purdue, and oregon state ever been a factor on the national scene lately?

For over 20 years now CFB has been centered around the southeastern united states plus OSU/OU plus a few others here and there on various years.

Don't think he's referring to it on national scale as being semi competitive in their conference.I know
NW built one of the better FB facilities in the country
a few years ago and obviously things aren't great at all schools mentioned but it could get much worse

They may not matter on a national scale but you do realize college sports are primarily regionally based? If there are no teams to fill a conference then the conference folds and the schools that do matter nationally either go independent(which fricks things up for playoffs) or get square pegged ito a round hole in a conference they don't fit regionally. That alone gives credence to the fact that college sports will never be the same as we know it. I have confidence it will get worked out somehow down the road. Too much money at stake for those irrelevent schools that are along for the payout.
