A new QB with a new OC would be expected to struggle against a defense returning alot of starters. This isn't a surprise to anyone with common sense.

UGA's offense will still score plenty against lesser competition just due to a talent gap, but against Alabama, Florida, etc - that won't cut it and UGA will need to rely on their defense. It's a good defense, but those other teams have good defenses too.

UGA was considered a underdog to Alabama and slight favorite to Florida prior to your QB opting out. It doesn't bode well for you at this stage.

Florida has been the sweetheart pick for years now. UGA has win the East 3 years in a row. Of course people are expecting the streak to be broken. The SEC is touted to have more parity than other conferences.

The problem with Florida is that their defense is still young in a Todd Grantham system. And they are weak in the trenches on offense. MuLLLen is Richt 2.0. Florida will be a team that produces a challenger for the NC every 5 seasons. I'd predict that run next season due to the youth and deficiencies still on the roster.
