Fair question....UGA football was a hot mess when Richt was hired and dude did an incredible job of righting the ship. Smart inherited a program that in far better shape than Richt did so time will tell. Under normal circumstances this year would be very important for Smart......if it were a normal year and we drop 3 games during the regular season comparisons to Richt would either be appropriate or unfair to Richt....pick your poison. But if we drop one and win the SEC east it ain't a fair comparison. This season being what it will be won't tell us much one way or the other unless of course we go 6-4 or some shite....if we do not win the east there will be some grumbling for certain. Time will tell...Smart is at a pivotal point in my opinion. I think he is better than Richt but I am not looking at it unbiased....

Why don't you look at the players drafted off Richt's 1st team? I believe it was eight...Kirby had 1.

Incorrect. Donnan left a seriously talented football team for Richt to take over.
