Lack of tradition, history, chutzpah....those answers are mouth breather answers. It has nothing to do with Clemson or Georgia or anybody else in the SEC. South Carolina needs, like everybody else, a top tier coaching staff or elite recruits. And if it’s the latter, not just one or two, but all over the field.

Spurrier won because he was still damn good, put together a good staff, and had enough studs to compete.

There is no secret sauce.
