Central Clay County took my Elmore County Panthers to the woodshed, 55-6.

Who is their competition at 5A? We are new here and not doing well... Lol.

*Corch, you are a 5A coach clue me in.

They struggled with Sylacauga last week. Could have been an off week but there if not, there are some teams that will give them a run.

Central Clay County will win that region most of the time. Talladega, Holtville, and Sylacauga will have good teams on occasion. Elmore County has a decent history but just in a bad region for them now.

Central Clay was in a much better region last year with Springville, Moody, and St. Clair.

The realignment moved Leeds up to 5A and Central Clay out of that region. Central Clay with any growth will be 6A and probably be in the Oxford, Clay-Chalkville Pinson Springville region. It's hard to keep up with all the schools that moved in 4A-6A.

Central Clay is a new school created out of Clay County and Lineville. Those were great 2A programs that battled it out every year for the championship. Seems we signed some Lineville players back in the 90's.
