According to Stephen M. Smith

If true, Najee is going to ball.

Think about who you are using as a source....

Najee was probably a 4.6-4.7 guy before. Might be 4.5 now. You don’t shave .3 off your 40 lol

We’ll see.

Damien Harris was the last back Bama had that dramatically increased his speed while on campus. His first year or two - he was caught from behind many times. He was running away from folks after that.

I’ve yet to see Najee break a long one yet. We’ll see.

I really can't think of a back similar to Najee in recent memory. Steven Jackson that played at Oregon State and later with the Rams is who comes to mind. He's an all-purpose back that's 6'2" 230.

He doesn't have Todd Gurley's top end speed, but I think he's better out of the backfield than Todd was at UGA and I think he runs the ball harder than Todd did at UGA, which is saying something.

Is that with a 10 yard start?

If you want a taste of the effort Najee has been putting in to get ready for the 2020 season you should go look at a couple of his videos here

I have no doubt he has pushed his 40 time down into the 4.45 range. Najee is putting in the work and he is ready to explode.
