Don’t be ridiculous Sandy. It’s been years since any turd in this conference has knocked off tDynasty.

Make no mistake, I want football. But if it’s between: playing a few games, having an outbreak, and shutting it down - or not starting, I’d rather not even start.

I don’t want to go through the same “what could’ve been” crap that we went through with March Madness. That was one of the worst feelings I’ve ever had watching sports.

Back then the COVID-19 was not yet well known and how it was best to handle the situation. Now the information is out and got a lot of information about the COVID-19. Look at some of the pro sports! It is doable! Got to be very strict with the coaches and players with their activities.

I get that, but this spring/summer is one of the worst feelings I've had PERIOD. And I work in a hospital, I've never had to miss work.

Still can't go to a movie (interestingly enough, they're going to start opening theaters in a week or 2). Couldn't go out to dinner for months. Can't go out for a drink after work. For awhile, couldn't go out of state at all for a vacation.
Can't go to a mall, shopping center or most stores to just walk around and browse- my son the other day went to Best Buy, at the entrance they asked what he was coming for, and for how long he'd be there.
I have to wear a mask the full 12 hrs I'm at work, and whenever I get out of the car to get anything outside my home.
My son, niece and nephew are enrolled in different colleges; one is Ivy League and another is Big 10. They're all currently "attending" from their bedrooms at their parents' homes via laptop. That's not the social experience we had at that age, and not what anyone intended when they applied.

At this point, the virus has spread out in society, and little will change for awhile. We can either start returning to normal life, or continue to isolate at home. I'm beyond ready to get back to living.

I don't expect to be able to attend games, or to tailgate. I think it's still a bit too soon this year. But the teams can return to campus, practice, and then play in empty stadiums safely, as long as you monitor them as they said they would, and we can at least watch them on TV.

It's a voluntary decision made by men paid millions to coach and run football, and by young guys in exceptional health and receiving scholarships to do so. It's their choice to do so, as they've made very clear.

If we don't get things restarted soon, this sports entertainment bubble will burst.
ESPN won't pay out hundreds of millions of dollars to televise a coach's speech. LSU, Alabama etc aren't giving scholarships out to kids just to look muscular. The pro teams aren't paying guys just to work out and talk.
We aren't maintaining ESPN subscriptions to watch Stephen A Smith yell into a microphone.
It's all for entertainment, for having games played.

Your logic is extremely flawed. How about playing a few games and nothing happens and so we continue to play out the season. The thing is, you don't know until you try.
