ESPN wants the season to happen. They are going to get destroyed by advertising losses if the season doesn't happen. Use your brain brah.

College football is the only reason I have cable/ESPN. I will be glad to cancel my cable subscription and save $70 a month if there is no season.

You are trying to apply rational thought. Big mistake.

Disney/ESPN are willing to lose any amount of money in support of the cause.

Think of it as a political donation and it makes more sense.
